1. What is FEIH?

The Foundation for Education in Honduras (FEIH) is a charitable organization committed to providing education to children in high-need areas of rural Honduras. FEIH partners directly with local Honduran businesses and groups to renovate rural school buildings, provide school supplies to the children and teachers, and engage the school in cross-cultural activities in order to foster positive educational outcomes in the community.

2. Where are you located, do you have an office?

We have volunteers in New York City and Honduras. No, we do not have an office. Our P.O. box address is P.O. Box 1702 New York, NY 10150.

3. What is the best way to contact FEIH?

4. How can I donate?

You can donate online here, or via check made out to The Foundation for Education in Honduras and send to our P.O. Box above.

5. What are the qualifications to become a FEIH school / community?
The minimum requirements for a community or existing school to qualify are:
  • A minimum of 100 students must be registered
  • The local government must commit to contributing some of the materials for construction
  • A minimum of 20% of the labor must be provided by the local community
