For my Quinceañera Party, I ask that instead of gifts you consider a donation to the Foundation for Education in Honduras (FEIH). FEIH builds schools in communities in Honduras that lack functioning school buildings, including such basic facilities as running water and bathrooms. FEIH also provides the students with essential school supplies for learning such as backpacks, desks, notebooks, and even shoes and clothes.
This organization is very near to my heart, as someone who is half Honduran and has visited Honduras since I was a toddler. As a student, I value education and recognize how important it is for children worldwide to receive a proper education. Unfortunately, many of the kids in Honduras do not have the same educational resources as we do. FEIH does an amazing job of supplying kids around Honduras with the necessary supplies to receive a proper education. Please join me in helping to raise funds for FEIH as we celebrate my Quince! The Foundation for Education in Honduras (FEIH) is a charitable organization committed to providing education to children in high-need areas of rural Honduras. FEIH partners directly with local Honduran businesses and groups to renovate rural school buildings, provide school supplies to the children and teachers, and engage the school in cross-cultural activities to foster positive educational outcomes in the community.
